Shop Skate Create

Shop Skate Create

Shop Skate Create is a program led by Playford City Council, run in collaboration with the Elizabeth City Centre. It supports young people aged 9–17 by having outreach workers at the local shopping centre, from Thursday, 6pm–9pm.

The program helps to set up activities identified by the young people.

A good example is the legal aerosol art for 12 –18 year olds to promote aerosol art as a valid way of channelling artistic technique and self expression, legally. The group has held exhibitions, uses peer mentoring demonstrations, and had artwork (walls, canvasses or plywood) commissioned.

All programs are voluntary and are led by the young people.
