Research

As well as the services Anglicare SA provides in the community, we also conduct research that will help us identify how best to respond to needs and issues in ways that enhance dignity and integrity, and promote social justice.

The research we are involved in is based on the following four themes:

  • Barriers to participation in the social and economic life of our society
  • Sustainable solutions to the root causes of injustice
  • Approaches to building productive relationships to assist Anglicare in achieving our vision
  • Positive ageing

Anglicare and Flinders University

Anglicare and Flinders University signed a memorandum of understanding in June 2009 to foster co-operation and collaboration between the institutions for their mutual benefit and that of their staff, clients and students.
The aim of the partnership is for the organisations to establish, maintain and extend cooperation among themselves in the identified areas of cooperation in;

  • public awareness
  • professional development
  • research
  • student placement, learning and employment pathways, and
  • service/practice and policy development

Getting involved

While some research at Anglicare SA is undertaken internally by staff, we also welcome the opportunity to collaborate on projects with academics, post-graduate students, undergraduate students and other external researchers.
